Jordi J. Gimenez is Head of Technology at the 5G-MAG – Media Connectivity Association, a non-profit association dedicated to powering connected media services through open standards and open source. He has dedicated over a decade advancing the development of technologies at the intersection of mobile and broadcast delivery architectures, contributing to specifications from 3GPP, DVB, ATSC or ETSI. An active advocate for industry collaboration, he has contributed to the setup and growth of the 5G-MAG Reference Tools Developer Community, which transforms complex specifications into interoperable software assets. Previously a Project Manager at the Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT) and a Research Engineer at the iTEAM Research Institute, he holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications from Universitat Politècnica de València, in Spain.
