Truong-Sinh An studied Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin (TUB). He received his diploma degree (Dipl-Inf.) with the completion of his thesis “Development of a Recommendation as a Service Platform using NoSQL Database Technology” (RaaS) at Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS) in 2014.

He worked at the Business Unit Future Applications and Media (FAME) with contributions to the national and international industry and research projects TV Predictor, webinos and FIcontent before he worked as a Scientific Assistant and Software Developer at the Beuth University of Applied Science in Berlin where he was responsible for the technical management in the “Smart Learning” projects (national BMBF-funded projects SLHw and SLOW), focussing on learning analytics and anomaly detection in technology enhanced learning (TEL) from 2015 until 2018. Since 2019 he was working as a Software Engineer for the BitTubes GmbH focusing on media specific web technologies, authoring tools and R&D in the Horizon 2020 project 5G-MEDIA.

In 2020, he returned to FOKUS and is currently employed as a Scientific Assistant and Project Manager at the Business Unit FAME. There, he specializes in the R&D of topics dealing with future mobile and web applications and technologies, as well as with topics in the artificial intelligence area.
