Kemal Görgülü is Chief Technology Officer / Directeur des Technologies at ARTE GEIE in Strasbourg. He is responsible for ARTE’s overall technology strategy and infrastructure, covering broadcast and production systems, enterprise IT, digital platforms, programme data, distribution, facility and energy management.

He has more than twenty years of experience in the digital transformation of public service media in Europe. Before joining ARTE in 2020, he was Partner and Shareholder of FLYING EYE Managementberatung für Medieninvestitionen GmbH and Senior Consultant NewTV at Endava, advising broadcasters and media organisations on technology, platforms and transformation.

At ARTE, he leads major transformation initiatives in production technology, digital platforms, data strategy and artificial intelligence. His work includes AI strategy for the ARTE Group, conversational search, multilingual workflows, video intelligence and the integration of AI into editorial, production and product development processes.

Beyond ARTE, he is active in the European debate on public service media, digital sovereignty and the future of the digital public sphere. He is a co-founder of the Beyond Platforms Initiative and initiated the “Datenraum Medien” under the Mission KI / acatech programme. He is fluent in five languages and experienced in leading interdisciplinary teams in intercultural contexts.
