Ben Schwarz is a consultant, analyst, and recognised international thought leader in converging media and sustainability. After ten years in IT at Logica CMG, he became CTO of a music start-up during the Internet bubble. He then spent nearly a decade at Orange, helping the operator adapt to the internet and launching media-based services, including IPTV. Since 2008, Ben has supported international clients with strategy, business, communications, and technology, authoring over a dozen industry white papers and contributing regularly to sector blogs. He has been active in trade organisations since 2015 and is President of Greening of Streaming — an independent, member-driven NGO that measures the real energy cost of streaming through primary data collection, hands-on engineering, and evidence-based policy work. A long-standing sustainability advocate, Ben believes that accurate measurement is the foundation of meaningful action. He lives in Paris.
