Florian Gast studied Media Informatics at the University of Regensburg. He joined FWU (Institut für Film und Bild in Wissenschaft und Unterricht) in 2022 as Product Manager for VIDIS, involved in the technical development of a centralised identity brokering service for schools across Germany. Since 2026, he leads the Identity, Licenses & Standards group at FWU, overseeing the projects VIDIS, Licence Connect, and Schulconnex. His work centers on digital license management, identity brokering, and interoperability standards in education, with a particular focus on making these solutions work across Germany’s complex federal landscape.
