Melanie Krüger is an industrial engineer with 23 years of experience – 10 years of them in leadership roles – across various business areas of Deutsche Bahn AG, including human resources management and operations. Since November 2018, she has been responsible for strategic HR development, principles for young talent, qualification and learning at Deutsche Bahn AG. Among other things, her department shapes vocational training at Deutsche Bahn in over 50 occupations and 25 dual study programs for more than 14,000 young talents. Innovative initiatives such as the DB Youngster Community, the expansion of a strong, networked learning IT infrastructure, skills-based learning, and a focus on the value-adding use of AI in learning are just some of the forward-looking topics she drives as a manager at DB.
