Matthias is a policy officer at the Ministry of Education of Baden-Württemberg. Since 2019, he has been involved in the conception, development, and continuous improvement of the digital education platform SCHULE@BW. SCHULE@BW serves as a single-sign-on service for students and teachers, offering access to two learning management systems (LMS) – Moodle and itslearning. Users can also utilize the digital workspace based on Open Desk, the messaging service Threema, and access the state media database SESAM. Additionally, SCHULE@BW provides two AI applications: F13 and telli. Currently, the platform has approximately 800 000 users and is constantly being expanded with new applications. Matthias is specifically responsible for the topics Threema, itslearning and AI applications. He is also involved in addressing questions related to data protection and IT security.
