BBC

Chris is Web Standards Lead at the BBC, focusing on audio and video media, and development of the internet in the public interest. He is part of BBC R&D’s Advisory team, which provides advice to the BBC on new and emerging technologies. He is the co-chair of the W3C Media Working Group, which develops the Media Source Extensions, Media Capabilities, Media Session, and WebCodecs APIs, among others. He is co-chair of the Media & Entertainment Interest Group, covering new use cases and requirements and coordination with related standards groups. Chris is also vice chair of the W3C Board of Directors.
