He received his diploma degree (Dipl-Inf.) with the completion of his thesis “Design and Implementation of a Test and Assessment Suite for CE-HTML” at Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS) in 2011.   • This tutorial will cover the latest advances in the context of internet delivered media, specifically adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming. For that reason, we dive into streaming formats and protocols such as MPEG-DASH, HLS and Media over QUIC (MoQ).  Latest features and standards like Content Steering and Common Media Client Data (CMCD) version 2 are discussed in detail. The practical part of this tutorial focuses on dash.js discussing the latest major version 5 release and features such as AdaptationSet Switching and native DRM key status handling.
