Mauricio is the CEO and co-founder of Spin Digital, a German company specialized in video compression for next-generation media. Mauricio is responsible for the general management, business development, industry initiatives and partnerships. He has been part of several international R&D projects related to video encoding, 8K live streaming, and immersive technologies. His work and interests lie in the confluence of video codecs, human vision science with art, cinema, immersive media, and high technology businesses. Mauricio holds a PhD degree in Computing Engineering from UPC (Barcelona, Spain) and an Electrical Engineering degree from University of Antioquia (Medellin, Colombia).
