Franck Aumont is video architect within the Media Services Group at Interdigital France, working on a variety of video related innovations and technologies: streaming protocols, encoding, AI video processing. With over 25 years of experience, he has been involved in a wide range of end-to-end systems for video distribution, including IP, cable, satellite, and terrestrial systems. He contributes to global standards 3GPP, MPEG, DVB and ATSC 3.0 activities to focus on delivering innovative services to end-users while ensuring the highest quality of experience.

For the past few years, he is working on a project aiming at reducing the energy and carbon footprint of video distribution, making it more efficient, engaging, and sustainable. With his team, he has participated to various papers on energy-aware video technologies and has showcased them at the well-known shows:
