Media Streaming Expert

Eyevinn Technology

Torbjörn is a  media streaming technology expert at Eyevinn Technology working with streaming architecture and open source development. He has worked on video transport, coding, file formats and services for more than 25 years. During this period, he has had many different roles, such as leading the research on video coding and new mobile video services at Ericsson Research, developing streaming prototypes and customer integrations using DASH over broadcast at MobiTV, and leading the architectural work and product development of Edgeware’s HTTP streaming platform.

On the open source side, Torbjörn initiated and has been the main developer of the DASH-IF reference tool “dash-live-source-simulator”. Recently, he started a second generation “livesim2” tool to support more use cases. Other open source projects he is currently working on are “mp4ff” and “dash-mpd”, while older projects include “cea608.js” that was contributed to DASH-IF.
