Dr. Rudolf Eyberg is Director of Panasonic AVC Development Centre based in Langen/Frankfurt. This department with 40 engineers and technicians is in charge of software development and testing of Panasonic TV products in Europe.

From 1981 to 1992 Rudolf studied electrical communications engineering and received his diploma and doctorate at the University of Stuttgart. After 1992 he acted at ALCATEL in Stuttgart and Brussels as engineer for CATV/HFC network technology in the areas of development, corporate management and international sales support.

From 1999 to 2005 he was Director at BOSCH Broadband Networks in Berlin and responsible for the HFC expansion of national broadband cable networks with triple-play services. From 2005 to 2008 he was in charge as Group Manager Electronics for optical disc storage (DVD, BluRay & Holography) at THOMSON Corporate Research in Villingen. Since 2008 with PANASONIC his key focus is on implementation of new technologies and interactive services in Panasonic’s integrated TVs (VIErA) and DVD/BluRay recorders (DIGA) for Europe.
