Ray van Brandenburg is CTO and Founder of tiledmedia, a spin-off from TNO that focuses on efficient streaming of VR360 content. Ray got his master’s degree in Embedded Systems from Twente University of Technology in the Netherlands and since then has been working on the interface between network and media technology.

During his time at TNO, he developed world’s first Tiled Streaming solution back in 2010 and co-created Cameraad/NULive, the managed live streaming platform used by the Netherlands largest news platform nu.nl. He holds over 30 patents on media network technology. Ray is and has been active in various standardisation organisations and is main author of several IETF RFCs on CDN technology, adaptive bitrate streaming and media synchronisation.
