Milan Z. Bjelica is a Next Generation TV group lead within the RT-RK Research and Development Institute, which is one of the largest software design houses in Southeast Europe, supporting the advancement of solutions in domains of digital TV and multimedia for major companies worldwide. He is also an assistant professor with the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia, teaching in the fields of digital television and multimedia technologies. Under the leadership of dr Bjelica, RT-RK contributed to the field of technology with several modern technologies, including a novel cloud-based IoT platform (dubbed “Insight”) and a next generation TV application design framework for Android (dubbed “C-More”).

Milan Z. Bjelica graduated from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, and obtained his PhD degree with the thesis “Methods of implementation of context-aware platforms and context-aware user interfaces for applications in consumer electronics” in 2013. He is an active member of IEEE CE Society and Technical Program Chair for the ICCE conference in Berlin 2015.
