Kemal Görgülü studied media economics at the Rhine-Main University of Applied Sciences and film directing at the Ecole Supérieure d’Audiovisuel (ESAV) of the University of Toulouse. He was Partner and Shareholder of FLYING EYE Managementberatung für Medieninvestitionen GmbH and Senior Consultant NewTV at Endava. Since early 2020, he has been Chief Technology Officer (Directeur des Technologies / Hauptabteilungsleiter Technik) of ARTE and has been responsible for transforming the broadcaster’s headquarters in Strasbourg in both technological and process related matters. His responsibilities at ARTE include broadcast and office IT (including SAP ERP systems), classic AV systems, playout and distribution infrastructures of the TV channel, the OTT product arte.tv, programme data management and “Common Services” (especially facility and energy management).

Kemal Görgülü is fluent in five languages and has leadership experience of interdisciplinary teams in an intercultural context. He implements a sustainability strategy for the ARTE technology department, designs and implements AI projects and leads an interdisciplinary German-French (leadership) team to drive the digital transformation in the areas of technology, production and IT services for the ARTE Group.
