Gwenaël’s technical expertise spans video content protection, with a focus on signal processing and forensic watermarking to combat piracy. After gaining his PhD in forensic watermarking and lecturing at University College London, he joined Technicolor to research watermarking solutions. In 2016, Gwenaël co-founded the watermarking specialist firm ContentArmor where he was CTO until it was acquired by Synamedia in 2021.

Since the emergence of piracy trends such as CDN leeching, Gwenaël has recently shifted his attention to CDN security.

Gwenaël has published over 80 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and at conferences and is the co-author of more than 20 filed patents. He is also actively involved in industry standards and events including UHDF, SVTA, DASH-IF, and CTA WAVE.
