Benjamin Michéle

IT-Security Consultant

Benjamin Michéle received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in computer engineering from the Berlin Institute of Technology (TU Berlin) in 2009. Following this, he has been working as a research assistant at TU Berlin and the Telekom Innovation Laboratories until 2015. He has authored a book on Smart TV security and is currently finishing his PhD thesis on the topic of consumer electronics security. His research focuses on the security of Smart TVs’ media playback system and the security of broadcasting-related technologies such as DVB-T and HbbTV. He has been working closely with the corresponding consortia and vendors to improve the security of devices and standards.

 Mr. Michéle has received various awards for presenting his work at international conferences. His research on Smart TV security has been the subject of media coverage on several occasions.
